SCCM update hotfix failed - Sync to download update failed with Generic failure"

Hi,

I have a SCCM 2309 server want to update latest patch. As the server cannot connect to internet, I follow this documents to download and import the patch:

Updating Configuration Manager in Offline Mode with the Service Connection Tool - Microsoft Community Hub

After import, I can see the patch is "Available to download", however, when I start to download the patch, it have error "Sync to download update failed with Generic failure"

Any idea to fix this?

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

    First, make sure your Service connection point is in Offline mode.

    Then, what does the log dmpdownloader.log say when the download fail?

    And which switch did you use when run ServiceConnectionTool.exe -connect? Did you use -downloadhotfix? Have we verified the download is successful in the ServiceConnectionTool.log?
