Keyboard shortcuts [copy, cut, paste etc] are not working Edge Extension

I am the developer of a browser extension that is currently published on the Chrome Web Store. This extension relies heavily on keyboard shortcuts, such as copy, cut, and paste. These shortcuts function perfectly in the Chrome environment.

However, I am encountering an issue when the same extension is installed in the Microsoft Edge browser. The keyboard shortcuts that are integral to the functionality of my extension are not responding as expected in Edge.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue when transitioning extensions from Chrome to Edge? Any insights into potential differences in how Edge handles keyboard shortcuts, or suggestions for troubleshooting steps, would be greatly appreciated.
