Hello
Here are a few suggestions that might help:
Enable Tablet Mode: Ensure that your device is in Tablet Mode. You can do this by going to Settings, selecting the Tablet tab, and enabling “Always use tablet mode” and "Always switch to tablet mode".
Modify Registry Settings: You can try modifying certain registry settings to force the on-screen keyboard to appear. Please remember to back up your registry before making any changes. Here are the registry keys you might need to modify:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\TabletTip\1.7\EnableDesktopModeAutoInvoke = 1
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\TabletTip\1.7\DisableNewKeyboardExperience = 1
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\ImmersiveShell\TabletMode = 1
If the changes don’t apply to the kiosk account, you might need to add these registry keys under HKLM, instead of HKCU.
Execute TabTip.exe: You can try executing TabTip.exe to start the on-screen keyboard.
These solutions are generally applicable to Windows 10 and Windows 11. If none of these solutions work, you might need to consider writing a proper kiosk application that can invoke the on-screen keyboard when needed.
