Track changes for same author change color even though specific colors are selected (not by author); recent occurrrence

Question

When using Word's track changes feature, I select one color for deletions and one color for insertions (not"by author"), but recently, the color of tracked deletions started changing when my cursor is in the paragraph and at other times. Same thing for tracked insertions. Can I prevent Word from changing the color of tracked deletions and the color of tracked insertions? The changing colors is confusing. Thank you.
