Hi all, SCOM 2019 UR2 install.

Bunch of MP's download from catalog and install fine - such as SQL 2016, Exchange 2013 etc etc

A few don't - Active Directory 2016, Windows 10 client for example - and looking into this shows the following:

  • an initial connection is made to the mirror, in this case a23-0-202-160.deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com
  • a 0k file is created locally, which then proceeds to fail to import
  • i can replicate this across multiple australian-based environments - with varying degrees on internet access lockdowns.... some sites with open slather internet access.. so its not the network.

is anyone else getting this ?

And yes, i have already forced TLS 1.2 only on some of these installs - not on all... consistently occurs across sites with and without this.

    Hi @Ben Wosjke ,

I don't have an environment to test with, but I'm aware that Update Rollup 2 for SCOM 2019 has had many issues.

Since you've encountered this issue in multiple environments with different configurations, your best shot might be creating a support request directly to Microsoft about this issue.

hey - after working for MS many years back and dealing with their support regularly for 20+ years, I've learnt to always go to the community first - answers are generally higher quality and delivered in a more timely manner.

if i have no success here - sure, i'll lodge a PSS call.... but that is a "last option" IMO.
