Hello,
You could try running msinfo32. Maybe more information than you need
Systeminfo I don't believe gives you enough of what you are looking for, it does give you install date and Processor age.

Are there any inventory based tools (or maybe scripts) you can recommend that would give an accurate age of desktop/laptop hardware in operation for devices joined to your domain? All workstations are running Windows 10. I know AD itself captures the date the device was joined to a domain which is perhaps something we could use but wouldn't necessarily account for rebuilds etc, but there may be more reliable timestamps that can be extracted from the device itself, that can be reported on.
To get an accurate age of a device, what would you specifically query on windows based desktops/laptops?

Hello
To accurately determine the age of Windows-based desktops and laptops, you can consider using the BIOS firmware release date or the first event seen from the device on Windows as indicators. These methods are not without their challenges, such as BIOS flashing potentially causing drift in the dates, but they are commonly used in device age estimation.
If you're looking for a more comprehensive solution, you might consider third-party computer inventory management software that offers features like autodiscovery and configuration management. Some of the best tools on the market include SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor, ManageEngine Endpoint Central, and Total Network Inventory, which can automatically generate hardware and software inventory reports.
Remember to always check for the most recent stable Windows Logo'd device drivers and ensure BIOS supports Windows for the best performance and compatibility. If you're managing a network of devices, leveraging an automated computer inventory management tool can significantly streamline the process of tracking hardware age and maintaining an up-to-date inventory.
