I tried to reconfigure AG but its taking huge amount of time since the db size is 20TB.
Reconfigure the AG takes huge amount of time. I think you'll need to really know what is going on and look into where the slowness is on the AG synchronization.
From this article, we can get the common causes and its solution/troubleshooting mechanism for SQL AG Data Synchronization Latency below:
- Long-running active transactions in read-only secondary replica
- High network latency / low network throughput
- Flow control induced high log send queue size and low log send rate
