Hi All,

I need to create a chart that connects to an existing list in my SharePoint. I came across a helpful post at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-a-chart-by-using-the-chart-web-part-d781ed6d-cbdd-4da9-a5bf-cf346c98db72, but it only explains how to use an Excel template to create a chart. I'm looking for guidance on how to use a Microsoft list instead.

I also attempted to create it using a "Quick Chart" web part, but it did not allow me to select the desired columns from an existing Microsoft List.

Is there a way to create a chart in Microsoft SharePoint using specific columns from an existing Microsoft list?

Kind Regards,
T.Costa

    Hi @Costa, Tatiane,

Thank you for posting in this community.

Unfortunately, Quick Chart web part can only select lists or document libraries from this site as data sources. This is designed by SharePoint.

You can get more information about Quick Chart web part's data source in this official documentation: Use the Quick Chart web part.

Another workaround is for you to copy/migrate lists from Microsoft Lists to SharePoint site. The way to do this is to export the list from Microsoft List as an excel file and then create a list in SharePoint using that excel file.
