Printer manufacturers have not yet updated the web services on their printers to use https.
How can I connect to a remote printer when the URL is forced to https?

Do you mean all your HTTP sites will be automatically changed to HTTPS? Or does it only apply to the remote printer?

I just tested with same version of Edge and had no problems connecting to printer and other websites that still use http. I entered http://<ip address> when testing printer and http://website in browser location box.

I tried that (again) and the url was re-written to https://10.21.1.10
Page returned:
The connection for this site is not secure
10.21.1.10 uses an unsupported protocol.

@VinceV2022 Please manually enter the url I posted above and test to see if it displays the site as shown. I forgot that Q & A doesn't allow people to post http links.
Based on your error I'm thinking it may be a problem with the specific printer you are attempting to connect to. It may be redirecting to https, but then it doesn't have a compatible cypher.

Sorry, been a crazy couple of days...
The test you provided worked as you predicted.
It's definitely an issue with the printer. I suspect the device has been moved and received a new IP address.

Yes, Edge force the usage of https ... when you don't explicit enter http for the Url; then it works.
