And i notice that the issue occurred recently, have you done any specific operations before that?

According to the error you provided, it looks like some code is running, right? If so, in order to further confirm if the issue is related to the code, it's suggested that you could stop running the code to check if the issue persists.

Hello Christy, the problems started yesterday. Nothing was done differently it just started throwing up the error out of the blue.

Glad to hear this issue has been resolved!

Thanks for the sharing.

However, due to a recent update in forum policy, the question author now is not able to accept their own answers.

So I have written a brief summary of the solution this issue. Please feel free to accept it as the answer, which would benefit others who also has similar issues in forum.

Issue:

Unable to email from Reckon Account due to an error "Unable to cast COM object of type

Solution:

OP has reset operating system and although this is annoying to do, it has solved the issue. OP believe the latest update have been the cause as it also removed an add-in OP had installed.

You can try repair office 365 outlook app.
If not solved, in limit reinstall.

Hello Miguel, tried both repairing and uninstalling. Still getting the same error. I had no problems yesterday until around midday.

Hello, I have reset my operating system and although this is annoying to do, it has solved the issue. I believe the latest update my have been the cause as it also removed an add-in i had installed.
