Hey guys,
I work from home and am not on a VPN. I work for a company the heavily utilises Azure and other Mircosoft platforms. My colleagues also work from home. This morning I was unable to connect to dev.azure.com. The request kept timing out. All other network traffic is fine. All other websites load ok and my home network and internet access is otherwise fully functional. I only have issues connecting to dev.azure.com when going through my ISP (via my local network)
How my morning went:
- I contacted my colleagues and checked if they had the same issues, they all connected fine, so the site isn't down.
- I tried connecting on 3 different devices, but none of them could connect, but I could connect to other sites including other Microsoft services.
- I cleared browser caches.
- I tried again from my mobile over 5g this time (mobile data), not via my home network/ISP. I could connect.
- I reset my switches and routers, actually, factory resetting my router.
- I tried pinging dev.azure.com, all pings timed out
- I tried traceroute, I could see the requests timing out after hitting my ISP
- I asked if any of my colleagues were using the same ISP as me, they were, and they had no issues.
- Connect to a VPN, and I get access again. The problem there is, that I cant install VPN software on my work laptop.

As you can imagine, the ISP support is no help whatsoever. After detailing the above, one suggestion was checking the cables, oh boy!
I'm now at a complete loss for what to do. I've had this issue for the past 6 hours now. Any help would be great.
Kind regards,
Jay
