Is it possible to change the sharepoint favicon for the company?

This used to be possible in a simple update under the SharePoint Site settings > Site Features > oe Custom Favicon > click Active

for some reason, MS took it away recently.

If you are using modern site, you will need to use sharepoint extension to change the favicon. Here is the steps for your reference
