Hi Team,

I wanted to learn about AIX of IBM cloud , however i checked that Azure cloud supporting the AIX VM through Skytap feature. So i created a free account and then later on i got to know this service "Skytap" is not free from which i could learn about AIX. So please clarify if i can work on AIX VM at free of cost within 200$ free credit or not.

Any other help or suggestion regarding the same would be very beneficial for me.

Hello, @Ashish Malik ! The Azure credits will pay for the VM you put your OS/software on and you can use free marketplace offers, however you cannot use Azure credit as payment to Skytap. I'll go into more detail below.

Are Azure Marketplace offers included in the $200 Azure credit?

No, your credit can’t be applied to Azure Marketplace offers. However, many Azure Marketplace partners offer free trials and/or free tier plans for their solutions. You can only purchase products on the Azure Marketplace once you've moved to pay-as-you-go pricing:

What this means is that Azure services are included (like Virtual Machines) and operating systems like Windows 11 have been made available free for dev and test scenarios for Azure free trial subscriptions, however you cannot use Azure credit for marketplace offers.
