Exchange: The user ID is already associated with the user fae7c315-3a99-49a7-95cc-84df9d00e8db. The user ID is already associated with the user fae7c315-3a99-49a7-95cc-84df9d00e8db..;

I have this error message in Office 365 admin Centre, no matter what i do this user is unable to access mailbox, please see error above. User is synced from OnPremis AD.

I do find details of the users mailbox via Exchange Admin Centre but the details for the user are incorrect. $2TAM41-BE13M28DOQ7T@****.onmicrosoft.com. is what i find for the user.

    According to your description, this error message suggests that the user ID you are trying to assign or use is already associated with an existing user in your directory service.

    Have you already migrated this mailbox to Exchange Online?

    You can use the command Get-Mailbox -Identity fae7c315-3a99-49a7-95cc-84df9d00e8db |fl and Get-Mailbox -identity " Mailbox alias"| FL

    If possible, screenshots can be provided for my next troubleshooting.

    Also, for mailbox $2TAM41-BE13M28DOQ7T@****.onmicrosoft.com ,are there any special characters in the mailbox? Are there similar errors in other mailboxes with special characters?

    Thanks for trying to assist me please see screenshot after running the PS command you sent me, also a screenshot of error i get on 365 Admin Centre. Problem is that i am unable to find another user with the same Id. User account created on-Premis and is already sync'd to cloud.No special characters in mailbox.
