At first, the state was labeled "Dirty Shutdown" then I performed a hard recovery, and now it is "Clean Shutdown" but still I cannot mount the database on EAC and PowerShell.

    Hi @Joemskii

Welcome to the Microsoft Technical Support Forum.

According to your description, you are currently unable to mount the database, the error code is hr=0x80004005, ec=1108. And you have performed a hard recovery, now it is "Clean Shutdown", but you still cannot mount the database on EAC and PowerShell.

If you have correctly performed the hard recovery steps, but the problem is still not solved, I suggest you also check the following points:

1.Try moving the checkpoint and logs to a temporary location and mount database to see whether it works.

2.If you have a recent, good backup, restore it to a different server and migrate mailboxes to a new DB and delete problematic database

3.Make sure to update BIOS, firmware and drivers for the hardware components.

4.Update Windows server with the latest patches.

5.Update Exchange server to the supported CU.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any queries.

    Jake Zhang
