How do I add invitations from my outlook email to my outlook calendar?

I receive links to webinars and other invites to my email that have the option to add to Outlook Cal, Google Cal, iCal, etc. When I click "add to Outlook Cal", it downloads a link to something instead of just adding the invite to my calendar. When I click the downloaded link, it opens up my iCal and tries to add the link there. What's the easiest way to do this?

    Based on your description, it appears that you received the registration link for the webinar.

    To display the meeting directly on your Outlook calendar, register for the webinar directly with the same account. Once you have successfully registered, you will receive an email notification and add it directly to your calendar. This will avoid you from manually adding to the calendar and then needing a download link.
