Hello,
I would continue the discussion following the link https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/5dad311b-ae09-436d-b7a6-0caf2acb0de6/tech-request-for-install-win-server-from-scratch?forum=windowstroubleshooting
in further:

The question is:
Is it possible, using the Windows System Image Manager, to perform custom Windows Server 2016/19 install on a drive, different than C:\?

    Hi,

If you have a dual system, you could install on a drive different than C drive. Otherwise, it will be automatically installed to the C-drive.

Hope above information can help you.

    Hello,
Thanks for the comment! Actually to install on another drive letter through dual boot also is not is possible.

I have a VM with 2 provisioned drives.

    1. I performing the installation: Windows Server 2016 , it takes drive C:\, the second drive takes E:.
    2. Then starting a new installation, choosing the free drive for it. Actually this is E:\ from the p 1. But the new installation again takes and put on it Drive C:\ . The other drive(with the first Windows Server installation from the p1) takes the first free letter.

The dual boot is OK, but the both servers has Drive C:\ as a system drive.

    Hi,

    Thanks!

Unfortunately yes, c: drive for now can't be changed.
Some guidelines point out how to... but it seems doesn't work proper.
May be if possible to prepare somehow the install prerequisites.
If somebody has an experience with this.

    Regards: Yulli
