Same problem here ...
I believe this happened today
I can't update windows. Error code: 0x80245006. Bitdefender VPN was also updated.

I can't update windows. Error code: 0x80245006. I also use Bitdefender as well as Bitdefender VPN. Bitdefender VPN was just updated.
I suspect that Bitdefender VPN update may be related, but I'm not sure what settings may need to be changed, what specifically those settings are, and where they need to be changed.

I Wonder if it's a Microsoft issue. It also won't let me download any games from the Microsoft store saying "may be an issue on our end".

David Murray 5 Reputation points2024-06-18T00:29:34.15+00:00 I'm encountering the same issue on two different PCs right now, both running Windows 11. I tested running updates on different networks including a mobile hotspot with no success. SFC and DISM repairs don't seem to resolve the issue.
Currently using the Windows Update Assistant to complete some updates in the meantime.

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.
There are some services that need to be running for Windows Update. If these services are not started it may cause this error code. Please start them using the following steps:
- Click Start and search for Services.
- Check the Background Intelligent Transfer Service status, if the status is stopped, click the Start button.
- Check if Windows Update and Workstation services are started. If you find them stopped please start them.
