Unable to select Australia as location for new CIAM External ID tenant

Hi all,

I am setting up a new Entra ID External CIAM tenant.

Under the 'Location' section, I am unable to find Australia.

Is it possible to select Australia as a location for the tenant? We need data to stay within the country to be within our privacy policies.

Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, Australia location is not supported for External ID for customers as of now.

Our team is aware of that and currently working on Australia and Japan location to add in new CIAM tenant by this year.

Hi @Shweta Mathur are you able to confirm if we can use a different region such as the US which is currently GA and request to move our External ID tenant back to Australia at a later date. We are really caught in limbo here; we are working on a partner-facing app and would much prefer to use Microsoft CIAM rather than Okta Auth0, however right now this is looking like a favourable solution to using Azure AD B2C.

Dan , It is not possible to change the location after post creation of tenant. As of now there is no timeline for roll out as well.
