Cannot connect to .mil addresses from a VM in Azure Gov

created a new VM in Azure Gov from which, none of the .mil URL with NIPR IPs are reachable even though they are open to public.

i even tried performing telnet to the destination IP address but it not reachable even though i can do the same with my personal laptop.

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.

I understand that you have deployed a VM in Azure US Sovereign Cloud and from this VM, you are unable to PING/Telnet a .mil URL.

Please let me know the following,

You confirmed the same IP is reachable from a local laptop

Can you please specify if the local laptop is your organisation issued ?

And if so, does it have any VPN that enables it to connect to the destination?

Or it's your regular personal laptop?

What region does that laptop reside? Within US?

I have initiated a private conversation with you, please share the Exact URL so I can test it from my local machine and Azure Public Cloud VM

Can you confirm there is no UDR or NSG attached to your VM?
