PowerPivot & Designing a Search Engine from OLAP/PowerBi

Question

Hi,

i am looking to deploy new feature to the BI environment (ssas, ssas tabular, powerbi)

1. to bridge the gap between olap excel and powerbi, equivelant to qlikview is to intoduce PowerPivot
   • Thoughts on PowerPivot?
   • do i setup managed db on presentation vm or storage vm?
2. Excel cubes are shared on sharepoint, is there a way to design/software a search engine "like google" function to search patterns in DW/OLAP Cubes/PowerBi for any question posted by user
3. redesign new portal to host cubes based on search engine etc?

Any thoughts, please?

This is helpful but not necessary.
Could you please describe yourBI architecture？ In VM or Azure or on premise?Datasource side and presentation side.

Actually, power-bi-visualization-q-and-a can achieve that.

You do not to designe one portal, you can test whether this is what you want app.powerbi.com
Of course, if you want one data portal to integrate all your SSRS,PBI,Qlik... reports, you can consider to make one new Data Integration Portal.

Thank You very much, my team is not confident about powerbi so im lost
