As of yesterday all of my SharePoint lists that have views have switched to showing the list of views across the top of the page. In my searching for an answer I believe this is because of some global change that Microsoft is pushing out. I have not been able to determine if there is a fix for this awful change. I would love to just remove this row in its entirety. It is a site breaking "update" for my complex lists that I use as ticketing systems.
Is there anyway to remove this row or get back the View Options dropdown?

I'm concerned as we had lists that were secure, now adding the tabs, people can openly see items that weren't originally for their viewing.

Hear you Paul and agree with all of the other concerns. As far as the tabs, if it's the list web part on a page, you can hide the command bar to remove the tabs. We purposely did that so the vertical menu wouldn't show. So luckily when the tabs hit they still do not display.

This update is slowing my browser down, having all the tabs there is unnecessary. Also, "Copy field to clipboard" now copies the link twice and inserts apostrophes around entries. We are using for URLs and have to paste to a different browser so this si also slowing us down.

What is going on!? I've seen no comms about this and it is a terrible idea to make changes like this without the ability to switch it off.

It's ridiculous to rollout such a visually impactful change like this with no method to restore the previous view.
We use SharePoint as our intranet and so many pages now need re-formatting as this change makes lists look like ugly online spreadsheets now.
Please can we have the ability to switch back to the previous view?
It's not just the tabs. The filters / groupings are off... count for one will show 4... but more are showing in the group. Worse, the EXTRA items... don't belong in that group!

Hate it as well. I have built our site around views and it was helpful to have the views "hidden" from people who don't know what they're doing. Now it's BOOM, right there in their face. Also lost the Tiles option and we have some pages built using that view that now don't work.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience of new lists user experience to you. Until now, there is no option to return back to previous lists user experience.
Meanwhile, thank you for your feedback and suggestion. We appreciate your input, and we are always looking for ways to improve SharePoint.
To more conveniently switch between the new and old lists user experience, I recommend you open a service request with Microsoft or give suggestion in the feedback portal. Many features of current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.

This update has also caused the column headers in my SharePoint list to disappear, rendering the list unusable.

This is so embaracing and painful that without the consent of users, Microsoft applies such updates with no rollback option or get rid of it.
While not at all helpful, I will accept this answer.
Which I read as, "Microsoft knows best how you should use a list and don't try to make a quality user experience."
This update is absolutely game changing and like the other commenter is making me take a real look at not using lists any longer.

This change is also causing disruption and inefficiency for my company. We need Microsoft to provide a way to revert.

@Emily Du-MSFT We logged a ticket with Microsoft when we first noticed this issue about a month ago. Was basically told "Thanks for your feedback, but its still getting rolled out".
Hopefully there's enough pushback that it does get reverted.
Indeed, due to Microsoft's update plan, the new lists user experience cannot be rolled back.
If there is any progress, I will update this post.

Very definitely agree that with an update that alters something as fundamental as lists, there needs to be a rollback option as this change has had knock-on effects to pages, permission-based views, columns and general customer usage, especially on high traffic lists used as trackers, etc. We use thousands across the company I work for that will be affected as we're already getting reports of issues and concerns.

We are all so sick of you saying "Sorry, we didn't expect this to impact our users negatively, send us feedback" and NOTHING is ever done to correct the poor planning on your part. How many times do you need to copy the same old "there's no way to revert our horrible update" response before you all start to actually implement rollback options? Saying "there is no solution" is NOT an appropriate answer.

I totally agree. This makes my list look ridiculous. And its not just the tabs, which were a huge mistake, but the ridiculous icons with no option to pick from company branding or any real art. SharePoint is our intranet and we own thousands of licenses. Maybe you run some of these stupid ideas past your users before rolling out garbage!
