I hope to get some assistance with an issue I've encountered after resetting my HoloLens 2 device. Previously, I was able to successfully ping the HoloLens 2 from my computer, but now I'm unable to do so, receiving a "Request timed out" message instead.

Here are the steps I have taken to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Ping Test: After the system reset, I attempted to ping the HoloLens 2 from my computer but received a timeout error.
  2. Firewall Settings: I have ensured that the firewall on my computer is disabled to eliminate any network restrictions.
  3. Developer Mode: The developer mode on the HoloLens 2 is enabled, which should allow for easier connectivity and diagnostics.
  4. Network Environment: The device is connected to the same local network as my computer, and it is confirmed that the HoloLens 2 can access the internet without issues.
  5. Alternative Devices: As a control test, I have successfully pinged my phone from my computer, indicating that my computer's network capabilities are functioning properly.

  1. Different Networks: I have tried connecting the HoloLens 2 to various networks, including personal hotspots from both China Mobile and China Telecom, as well as a dormitory Wi-Fi, but the ping issue persists.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to resolve this connectivity problem. Thank you for your time and assistance.

    Hello, Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,

Please ensure your HoloLens and PC are connected to the same LAN.

Please ensure that you are using the correct IP address of your HoloLens Device. To check IP Address, Open Settings app, and then navigate to Network & Internet -> Properties (current network) -> IPv4 address.
