SqlDataCompare file - how to save?

When I choose "New Data Comparison..." from the Tools/SQL menu, the resulting "file" is named "SqlDataCompare1" in the title of the window.

It takes a while to specify exactly which tables and columns I want to compare, and which index each should use, and I want to save that setup!

However, I can find no way to save this file!

Is there a way to save a SQL Data Comparison in SSDT for Visual Studio 2019? I see this has been forthcoming for 7 years.

Hello @Roberto Ortega , thank you for taking time to post this issue in Microsoft Q&A forum. It seems this issue is related to SSDT, you can try to modify the tag and add for example sql-server-general tag.

For this issue, I noticed that there was no way to save this file(years ago), but I suggest you can try to update SQL Server and other related tools to the latest version(if these tools are not the latest versions on your machine), and then try to save the SqlDataCompare file again. If this issue persists, you can directly suggest this feature as a feedback in Microsoft SQL Server Feedback forum.
