question about GPMC

I have built one domain with two domain controllers that are resided on each other sites.

When I edit the group policy using GPMC on Site1 's domain controller, I found that edited group policy isn't applied to site 2 before its replicated. But, even replication of group policy isn't started to site2, when i open the GPMC on Site2's domain controller, I can find that the group policy edited earlier on the site1's domain controller is displayed exactly the same as site 1's group policy while it did not applied to site2. ( I ensured that group policy didn't applied using gpupdate /force and gpupdate /r , rsop.msc,..etc )

So, what i would like to know is that GPMC is not reflect site's applied group policy? Or is there a special machine dedicated to editing that shows GPMC items?

    Hi,

By default GPMC connect on PDC.

If you want check if the edited GPO is replicated or not ,on gpmc wizard you have switch the domain controller of site 2.

If the Edited GPO settings is not applied on site 2 , check if SYSVOL flder is well replicated.
