    Hello Thomas van Dalen,

Greetings! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform.

I understand that files you are downloading from Azure Blob Storage are in corrupted state. First, ensure that your Synology Cloud Sync configuration is correct. Make sure you’ve set up the connection to your Azure Blob Hot Container properly. Below are some troubleshooting steps to consider resolving the issue.

    1. Check file extensions: Ensure that the file extension is correct and corresponds to the file type. Sometimes, incorrect file extensions can cause corruption errors. If needed, rename the file with the appropriate extension.
    2. Scan for malware: Run a reputable antivirus or anti-malware software to check for any potential malware infections. Malicious software can corrupt files, so it's important to rule out this possibility.
    3. Restore from backup: If you have a backup of the file, try restoring it to a previous version that is known to be working. This is especially helpful if the file was recently modified or if you have a backup system in place.
    4. Try opening on different software: Attempt to open the file with different software programs that support its file type. Sometimes, the issue may be specific to one program, and using an alternative application might help you access the file.
    5. Repair the file: Some applications provide built-in repair functionalities for corrupted files. For example, programs like Microsoft Office have repair options when encountering corrupted documents. Look for any repair or recovery options within the software you're using to open the file.
    6. Check file integrity: If the file is downloaded from the internet, verify its integrity by comparing its checksum or hash value with the original source. If they don't match, try downloading the file again from a trusted source.
    7. If you’re using an async download method, ensure that the _storage.Download method doesn’t use an async method internally (such as BlockBlob.DownloadToStreamAsync). If it does, make sure to reset the stream before sending it to the browser.

Besides, the settings for Cloud Sync is mainly focused on Synology, to help you better, I would suggest you contact Synology support to troubleshooting this issue.

Hope this answer helps! Please let us know if you have any further queries. I’m happy to assist you further.
