Hi HUI SHEN ,
Thanks for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.
Please follow these to restore Azure VM.
We strongly recommend creating a new storage account and selecting it here for restoring premium VM. This list is filtered for storage accounts in the subscription chosen above and location as vault, non-ZRS, active and not attached to any affinity group. This storage account will be used as a temporary location during restore.
During restore, azure backup service replaces existing disks on the original VM with the restored disks. Azure Backup takes a snapshot of the existing VM before replacing the disk and stores it in the staging location you specify. Existing disks connected to the VM are replaced with the selected restore point. If a VM restore fails because an Azure VM SKU wasn't available in the specified region of Azure, or because of any other issues, Azure Backup still restores the disks in the specified resource group.
Note: Make sure you have the correct Azure role-based access control (Azure RBAC) permissions for the Restore VM operation.
