Change Windows Digital License from Windows 11 Business to Windows 11 Enterprise

Question

Hi, when I first got my PC I had an M365 Business Premium subscription. I now have an M365 E5 subscription (Which comes with the Windows 11 Enterprise entitlement), but my digital license still says Business. This is preventing me from taking advantage of some of the Windows 11 Enterprise features such as Virtualization-based security, Credential Guard, System Guard, and secure boot with DMA.

Is it possible for Windows to see my license properly and upgrade to Enterprise or do I have to re-install?

It's possible to upgrade your Windows license without reinstalling, but you may need to ensure Windows recognizes your new M365 E5 subscription properly.

1. Open Settings on your PC.
2. Go to "Update & Security" and then "Activation."
3. Click on the "Troubleshoot" button under "Activate Windows."
4. Sign in with your Microsoft account associated with your M365 E5 subscription. ================
5. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/business/microsoft-365-administration).
6. Go to "Devices" and then "Devices."
7. Locate your specific PC and ensure the license assigned is indeed M365 E5.
