Azure AD Sync is creating a new m365 user only for me, everyone else synced. How do I resolve that?
I tried making this with my business email, and it immediately blocked me..so I am trying again with my personal email. If it eventually shows up twice, I apologize. I am new to Azure AD Sync, but not new to servers. I had every user account in M365 identical in ADUC, except for my own. Now, it is creating a user object in M365 with .onmicrosoft.com instead of synchronizing with my domain account. How does one resolve this issue? As far as I can tell, my name was the only thing that was different, entered as "Josh" in AD and "Joshua" in M365 but my SMTP, email, and phone were the same. Clearly, I missed something or it wouldn't do this. I feel like this is a simple solution and I am just missing it. I have staff in the office today, and I'm just lucky it happened to my account and not one of theirs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Before I went to bed at 2am, I deleted the .onmicrosoft.com account and perm deleted it from the recycle bin in M365. Then, I went into my user account in ADUC and made sure all fields matched M365. Woke up this morning, and it created another .onmicrosoft.com entry for my user account.
When installing AD Sync, the configuration said it would use mS-DS-ConssitencyGuid as the source anchor attribute. So I am assuming I will have to modify that value somehow in AD or M365. I just don't know the process and surely don't want to break my own global admin account. I can always export my outlook to pst and start anew, if necessary. That will really take me some time to fix in Teams, as we use that a lot. Thank you all for your help and support. I am really stumped here.
