Hello,

I'm having some trouble using cross-tenant synchronization from Azure GCC High to Azure Commercial (direction is one-way from GCC High to Commercial).

External Identities - Target Tenant (Commercial):

External Identities - Source Tenant (GCC High):

Cross-Tenant Synchronization (GCC High):

I've verified tenant ID on both sides multiple times, re-created the external identities multiple times, re-created the cross-tenant synchronization configuration multiple times, I'm at a loss at this point. What am I missing? Is this type of user synchronization even possible?

    Hi @Timothy Dufrane

Thank you for posting this in Microsoft Q&A.

I understand that you having trouble using cross-tenant synchronization from Azure GCC High to Azure Commercial (direction is one-way from GCC High to Commercial).

    Issue:

You appear to have entered invalid credentials. Please confirm you are using the correct information for an administrative account.

    Cause:

This error indicates the policy to automatically redeem invitations in both the source and target tenants wasn't set up.

Cross-tenant synchronization has been configured in my environment and it was a success. Can you confirm if you have added the tenant ID under Organizational settings for both the target and source tenant? We make sure to configure inbound settings for the target tenant and outbound settings for the source tenant. To resolve this issue, please review the following steps.

Automatically redeem invitations in the target tenant

Automatically redeem invitations in the source tenant

Hope this helps. Do let us know if you any further queries.

    Thanks,

    Navya.
