Hello Leigh Ann Halstead, if your Authenticator app is generating an 8-digit code instead of the usual 6-digit code, it's likely due to a time synchronization issue. Here are some ways to fix it:

    1. Check your device's time settings -- Ensure that the time and date on your phone or device are accurate. If they’re incorrect, adjust them to the correct time zone.
    2. Sync the time with the server -- This is as simple as you going to the Settings options on your phone and enabling the "Automatic time zone" option so that the phone can automatically detect your time zone and set it accordingly
    3. Remove and re-add your account -- Sometimes, removing and re-adding your account in the Authenticator app can resolve issues. Remove the account associated with the app, then add it back by scanning the QR code or entering the secret key
    4. Restart your device -- A simple restart can sometimes fix minor glitches. Restart your phone or device and check if the issue persists
