Why is my AdventureWorks not coming with the tabels included

There are quite a few files there, which one exactly did you download? "The OLTP one" is a little imprecise where there are eight of them.

I know that I've downloaded one occasionally, and there were certainly tables in the download I got.

Which .bak file did you download? Dose that file match your SQL Server version?
