Hello,
You can try the following steps to troubleshoot the problem:
- Ensure that RDP is enabled. Open Settings > Remote Desktop and verify that Enable Remote Desktop is turned on.
- Restart the remote desktop service. Search in Windows Search to open "Services". Find the remote desktop service item and click Restart.
- Change the security of RDP in the Group Policy editor. Run gpedit.msc to open the Local Group Policy Editor window. Navigate to the following directories:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Security
Find "Require a specific security layer for Remote (RDP) connections" and double-click it to edit.
If the setting is not configured, select Enabled and then select RDP in front of Security Layer. Click Apply, and then click OK. Restart the system for the changes to take effect. Then try to reconnect.
- Disable network-level authentication as a test.
