I am trying to run profiling and data quality scans for some data assets. It is taking hours for the scans to go from 'Accepted' status to in progress.
Sometimes in this time the job will fail with the following fail reason.
How do I troubleshoot this issue?

I agree that this issue looks strange and I wasn't able to reproduce this issue. If you have a support plan could you please file a support ticket for deeper investigation and do share the SR# with us?

JC 10 Reputation points2024-07-26T14:31:29.1966667+00:00 @Ben Smithson We have similar issues and have had a ticket open with Microsoft for more than a month now. The vast majority of our data quality scans and profiles just fail (although not a huge delay before that happens). I've never seen the error message above... our errors are either "DataQualityInternalError: Internal service error occurred" or "DQ-AssetNotFound: Please check if asset exists and try again." We have met with one of the product teams and they are still investigating. Support keeps saying it is due to an outage with Data Quality from weeks ago (East US). We have had a hard time accepting that (especially since we have created new data assets since then and experienced the same issues)... but perhaps this is impacting you as well (if you're using EUS). Based on our experiences over the last two months, Purview has been frighteningly fragile compared to other solutions.

Zegwaard-Gelink, Fiona 5 Reputation points2024-08-28T13:28:40.85+00:00 We have also the same problem, the scan continues to stay on ' accepted'. The problem is unknown because we don't get a failure message so we can't figure out what the problem is. We are also going to open a support ticket for this.
