How to add delay to the taskbar auto-hiding feature?

So i have set the taskbar to auto hide in windows but unfortunately, there´s no way to control how fast the taskbar appears when moving the mouse to the bottom of screen. I don´t want it to appear immediately so i want to add a time delay, for example 2 seconds before the taskbar appears after moving mouse to the bottom of screen.

How can i do this?

Can i modify it from the windows registry somehow?

I did try the TaskbarActivate application mentioned in the page you linked to but unfortunately, it doesn´t seem to work the way i thought it would. After installing it and setting the delay, the taskbar is hidden but now i can´t access it all when hovering with the mouse at the bottom of screen. The only way to make the taskbar appear again is to disable the "hide bar in background" option under activation settings. But after doing so, the set delay time has no effect and the bar appears just the way it did before installing the application.

Do you know of any way to directly modify this in the windows registry?
