Provisioning work accounts with Google account access

Hi,

I have users who are sent documents to edit via Google Docs, which we don't use. I would like to be able to provision them all with admin moderated Google accounts, minus Gmail account, just want them to be able to sign into docs, linked to their work profile. But, since we don't use the Google apps apart from the odd file sent to us, I would prefer we don't have to pay for a Google work account.

Any ideas?

@Tim Opie If I understand your question correctly, you can provision your users with admin moderated Google accounts and use Entra ID to manage user accounts and access to Google Workspace. This should provide the option you are looking for to allow you to manage the Google accounts, while using Entra ID as your identity provider.
