With Windows 7 embedded OS, we had discovered that after installation, we needed to ensure that the C: drive could be written for some 48 hours before being locked up with ewf command or else Windows optimization process would cause the unit to be rebooted since the self-optimization changes could not be committed to the drive and Windows was trying to complete the process. It seems that most of the updates concerned the dot net framework.

Does Windows 10 IOT perform similar self-optimization after new installation and is there a way to confirm that the needed optimization process has been completed.

Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

According to your reply, seems that there is no relationship with I mentioned Windows Update Delivery Optimization.

But we haven't heard any similar issue with what you said. Also I tried to search on Internet but not found any related issue about yours.
If it is available for you, we would recommend to test by setup a new Windows 10 IOT. If same issue occur on it, we could re-setup and monitor it with process monitor, then filter the process to check if any related actions were performed after setup.

    Bests,
