Integrating the speech function for Bashkir, Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz, Tatar, and Turkmen languages in translator
Dear Microsoft Team,
I recently discovered the TurkicTTS Project on GitHub and it is amazing. This model focuses on the pronunciation of Turkic languages. I am learning Bashkir language and found this text-to-speech model very promising.
Microsoft Translator includes almost all Turkic languages (except Sakha) mentioned on GitHub. However, Microsoft provides only textual translation; pronunciation is not available for the following languages: Bashkir, Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz, Tatar, and Turkmen. If this text-to-speech model (or a similar one) were included in Microsoft Translator, it would help millions of people learn their native languages. This is a great project from an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) perspective.
Do you think that Microsoft can integrate this or a similar model into Microsoft Translator so that learners of Bashkir, Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz, Tatar, and Turkmen can learn the pronunciation of phrases?
Thank you!
