Authenticator got confused by Amazon

Both Amazon.com and Amazon.cn can enable 2FA with Microsoft Authenticator. However, Authenticator cannot recognize these two from each other and always overwrite one with the other one like below.

  1. Enroll Amazon.com 2FA on Authenticator successfully, and the pincode can authenticate Amazon.com
  2. Enroll Amazon.cn 2FA successfully
  3. Amazon.cn 2FA will replace the previous one that associates with Amazon.com 2FA
  4. the pincode can only be used on Amazon.cn 2FA

These doesn't happen with Google Authenticator - I can complete two different enrollments with the same name "Amazon", one for Amazon.com, the other for Amazon.cn.

Any thoughts to fix that?

@Anonymous , if amazon.com and amazon.cn have the same identifiers embedded in their QR codes, then the app will assume it's the same account and overwrite. To work around this, please manually type in the account name and secret key for the second account rather than scanning the QR code, and make sure the second account name is different from the first.

Hello @Anonymous , before adding the cn account, rename the first one to something like Amazon USA or Amazon #1. You can do the rename clicking on the account and then the configuration icon.
