Hello! I have created a template for a new post signature in a Word document, with both text and image (on logo). When I copy the content from Word and paste it into Outlook, the image is compressed and the quality is very poor. What can I do to maintain the quality of the image? This is in the new Outlook version.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

If you use the image in your signature, then you can resize the image back to its original dimensions by changing the pixel values in the signature template.

To locate the signature template, hold the CTRL button when pressing the Signatures… button in Outlook’s Options dialog. This will open the Signatures folder where you’ll find the <signature name>.html file. Open this file in Notepad and search for <img> tag. You can now change the width and height values to the exact pixel values of the original image.

Quickly open the folder by holding CTRL when clicking the Signatures… button.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou

    Hi @Samaher Dhafer Louis Louis

    Welcome to our forum!

There is no option in New Outlook to set the pixels of the image signature. To maintain the quality of the image as much as possible, it is recommended that you send it as an attachment and not resize the image.

Please kindly understand that many functions are not designed at present. To get this feature more quickly, I have found a post in feedback collection website and you could vote for it. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. You can also make suggestions on that website and hope Microsoft will notice this in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

Is there any chance i can contact Microsoft by a phone call or so?

If you would like to find the root cause, I would recommend opening a support ticket so the support can take a deep look into this issue and do some further troubleshooting. You may contact support by Global Customer service Phone number.

    Hi,

Setting up a signature in the new Outlook is tricky. Using Word as the starting point is not ideal, since you'll usually get a lot of formatting that simply doesn't work in email clients. Image quality is only one of the issues. What's more, the last time I checked, there was no way to copy and paste a signature while keeping the source formatting, which breaks fonts and layout from the very start.

Your best bet would be to design a proper HTML email signature and drag-and-drop it into signature settings. It just works. Here are some detailed instructions: https://www.mail-signatures.com/articles/email-signature-new-outlook/ .
