Winddows 10 Home users cannot mapped drive

Question

I have 2 users with Windows 10 Home laptops not able to connect to map drive.

it is always showing wrong password.

the credentials is correct because if we use the login on a Windows 10 Pro laptop it works but not on Windows 10 Home.

the users are external users who do not login frequently and they only have Win10 Home version. they have the latest Win10 2004.

is there something we need to configured specially on their laptop

Hi,

You could try the following methods:

1. Right-click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate the following registry subkey: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Network[drive letter]
   Note: The [drive letter] placeholder represents the mapped drive.
3. Create a new DWORD (32-bit) value named ProviderFlags
4. Double-click ProviderFlags value. In the Value data box, type 1
5. Repeat the above procedure for each mapped network drive on the computer.
6. Click OK, and exit Registry Editor
7. Restart Windows.

this is what i see in my regedit

the error message still shows "The specified network password is not correct".
