Hi All
My company still uses windows 2003 server OS with Micros application for Point of sales terminals. few weeks ago 2 hard disks were damaged and OS was gone. we replaced them but we are unable to find the windows 2003 OS CD to install the OS
On my volume licensing portal I still can find windows 2003 std license key ONLY and no download option available. Today when i looking my CDs i found 2003 R2 Media kit but when i installed it , it did not accept my CD key then i installed without the key, but cannot activate online now it says activate in 30 days
Then I put this server into my WSUS and let it install updates and update to IE 10, no luck
How can i find a solution for this issue? this is a very hard time for me we need to commission this server soon and my company is not making money these days as the COVID issue and we are not able to upgrade them at all.
Is my portal key are valid?
Cam i use any windows server 2003 R2 media kit and use my Key?

If your license is volume then you'll also need volume media in order for the channels to line up. If you can't find it on volume center you may be out of luck. But you'll need to ask volume center support to confirm.

What's the product key type? MAK, KMS or others? Does other system devices activated by this volume key?
If you are using volume license product key, we could contact with Microsoft Licensing Activation Centers worldwide telephone numbers if it is available to activate Windows Server 2003 R2 with your key or why not able to activate Windows Server 2003 with your key.

Finally, i found the CD of 2003. last Friday and managed to install and Activate it . there was 2 CD and 2nd CD will update to R2
