Unable to set up Wi-Fi direct connection to HP ENVY Photo 7830

Question

I get a PIN-code, eventually, on the printer screen, enter it, wait, and then get the error message that printer stopped waiting. Try again. Anyone encounter this? Help much appreciated.

There are many possible causes and you could do some basic check from printer itself which is instructed in below link:

Moreover, from computer/laptop running windows Operating system, you could go through following places:

1. Set printer as default
   
2. Run Printing Troubleshooter: Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers
   
3. Check firewall settings in your computer as well as the Router Settings.
