    @Osada

    Threads with tag "office-onenote-client-itpro" focus on the traditional OneNote clients. Which version of OneNote are you using now?

    If it is OneNote for Windows 10, I would suggest you post a new question on the below Answer forum.
    OneNote for Windows 10

    If it is OneNote which is part of Office suite, or OneNote 2016 standalone, could you please explain more about your issue?

    1. Does OneNot hang or show “not responding” after copying or pasting?
      If so, please go to File > Options > Add-ins > Manager, COM Add-ins > Go, clear any COM Add-in enabled.
    2. Does OneNote does not show the content after pasting?
      If yes, where is the copied content from? Is it from OneNote notebooks or other apps (Such as Webpage, Word documents and .etc)?
      Please press Win + V after copying content, make sure the copied content exists on Clipboard.
      Besides, please ensure the Onenote is minimized when you copy anything. You may pull up Onenote application, open other apps without maximizing, copy, then go back to Onenote, do paste for a test.
    3. If nothing helps, you may repair Office on Control Panle.
      For OneNote 2016 standalone version, please uninstall it and restart computer to reinstall OneNote.

    Any issues please let me know.

    You can now configure the default paste behavior in OneNote settings (in Options > Paste Options). And one of the choices is “Keep Text Only.”43229-onenote.jpg
