Print processors initialization failed

I am running a virtual Windows Server 2008 R2。
There are about 180 printers installed in total. After installing new printers again, some installed printers disappear.
The main reason for the disappearance is that the print processors failed to initialize. The error log is as follows:

  • UserData
    • PrintProcEnumDataFailed
      Param1 hpcpp135
        Param2 1114

        Param3 hpcpp135.DLL

So I did the following experiment:
1、Looking at the list of print processors, there is no hpcpp135
2、Modify the print processor registry of Canon TS9580 series print processor and then restart the spool service
Driver: CNMPDET.DLL ---> Diver: CNMPDET.DLLdd

3、The print processor hpcpp135 can load normally
4、Restore the registry of Canon TS9580 series print processor and restart the spool service. Hpcpp135 disappears.

Is there any upper limit or other resource limitation for the print processor on windows?
Is it possible for different print processors to be mutually exclusive?
What are the possible causes of this problem?

Has anyone else seen this/ any recommendations for a fix?

Thanks!

gavin

    Hello @gavin

    Print Server Sizing
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc781857(WS.10).aspx

“It is important to note that the primary limitation of the print server in this configuration is related to remote management and not the result of constraints imposed by the print server hardware or core spooler component. Specifically, when viewing and sorting columns in the Printers and Faxes folder, one may begin to experience delays if the server is hosting more than 1,500 printers.”
