How to assess multiple .Net app servers for migration to azure App Service?

I have Azure Migrate plus many app servers and SQL. They're all on Azure VMs.
Azure Migrate doesn't recognise any servers as assessable for app migration (I'm trying to create an app assessment but no servers are available). The documentation appears to suggest this is only possible for VMWare servers, although it's pretty coy about this.
So how does one go about assessing MULTIPLE app servers for modernisation to App Service? The closest I can find is the App Svc Migration Assistant, but this seems to work only locally and you'd have to install it on each server.

It would need to be installed on each server so it might not be the best method if you have a large number of servers.
However, while the App Service Migration Assistant requires installation on each server, it can be an efficient option for assessing multiple servers. Here's the approach:
- Download the App Service Migration Assistant tool for your operating system (Windows only) from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/app-service-asp-net-migration
- Create a script to automate the installation and assessment process. This can save time compared to manually installing on each server.
- Consider using tools like PowerShell remoting to execute the script on multiple servers remotely, reducing the need for physical access to each machine.
- Download the App Service Migration Assistant tool for your operating system (Windows only) from https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service/app-service-asp-net-migration

So just to confirm, I believe you're saying I can use the ASMA but it has to be installed on each server to be assessed?
I imagine I can do the install and assessment remotely using the scripts supplied, although I haven't looked into this much yet.
