From the screenshots you provided, it seems that you get the Error: "Invalid command line argument. Consult the Windows Installer SDK for detailed command line help".

This may be due to the MSI incomplete install. Please check out this article, hope this can help you well and ensure the specified instance has been installed.

You can try to Repair a Failed SQL Server Installation.

In addition, you can try to reinstall SQL Server. I get the useful thread from Erland; it explains the steps in detail.

NOTE: We cannot rely on the old thread, the cause of the issue is different. Could you please post the detailed logs here to better help us narrow down the issue? We will locate the issue accurately and offer your more help!

In addition to Lucy's post: I've seen more than one person having had this error message when installing SQL Server. I've never been able to understand what is going on. But I have a feeling that this is not an error you get the first time you try to install SQL Server, but this is what happens when your first attempt fails, and you make a couple of re-attempts. Possibly with some attempt to clean up in between.

Also, check out this article that discusses a known issue with Windows 11 and SQL Server and certain disk drives. This could be the cause for the original failure.
