Remote desktop session not responding to mouse or keyboard

Using Microsoft Remote Desktop 10.9.6 (2188) on MacOS 12.7.5 connecting to a Debian 12 (Gnome 43.9) (latest) X86 laptop with built in 'remote desktop' setting turned on.

The connection is made, logged in and the screen is visible, but mouse or keyboard has no affect on the remote. There's no control at all and I can find no options that look like they might help.

Any Ideas?

    Hello Martin Mi,

This could be a bug, as many users have reported keyboard issues when using RdClient.

You might want to consider updating your rdclient to the most recent publicly available version, which is 10.9.8. Alternatively, you can try the newest Beta Version, 10.9.9, accessible via Microsoft AppCenter.
