I created the free tier account a month ago and did not use all the credits, when i logged in today it says the subscription is disabled. Why is it asking mw to upgrade when i still have 11 months of free usage and credits available??

    Hello Nupur Sahu,

    Thanks for your question

Your Azure subscription can get disabled because your credit has expired or if you reached your spending limit. It can also get disabled if you have an overdue bill, hit your credit card limit, or because the Account Administrator canceled the subscription.

See what issue applies to you and follow the steps in this article to get your subscription reactivated: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/subscription-disabled?source=recommendations

You can mark it 'Accept Answer' and 'Upvote' if this helped you

Thank you for your responses and help.

I was still struggling understanding the free tier, here is what i understood and worked -
I missed this footline mentioned on azure website -
"Customers who try Azure free must move to pay as you go within 30 days to continue receiving 12 months free services."

That means even if i have 12 months of free tier access, my free credits will expire after 30 days and that would make me choose an upgrade plan for "pay as you go". There is a plan called 'Basic' which says 'included' , i believe that is included in free tier and i don't have to pay for it but just opt it to upgrade to "pay as you go" and continue using the free services for another 11 months.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

I hope this will help users who are struggling understanding the 12 month free tier which is not working after 1st month.

    Thank you!
