Issue with TotalDebtRatio Parameter in Power Apps Tutorial

Hi,

I am following a tutorial for creating a canvas app in Power Apps and have encountered an issue with the formula applied to the OnSelect function of a button. The formula is as follows:

With(
    Contacts.contoso_CalculateContactDebtRatio(RecordsGallery1.Selected.Contact),
    Notify(
        "Total debt ratio: " & Text(
            TotalDebtRatio,
            "###.00%"
        )
    )
)

The problem occurs when I try to save the formula with the TotalDebtRatio parameter. In this case, the formula resets to its previous state and I am unable to proceed. I have followed all the previous steps to configure the instant plugins, so I don’t think the issue is related to a misconfiguration.

I reviewed the plugin and noticed that it differs from the tutorial, even though the results are the same. However, when I use the formula from the tutorial, I encounter an error.

I’m encountering an issue with updating the plugin. Specifically, I receive an error related to the formula provided in the instructions (see Screenshot 2024-07-08 094445.png). When I test it, I get another error (see Screenshot 2024-07-08 095414.png).

Currently, I achieve a successful result using a formula that utilizes “NewRecord” instead of “ThisRecord” (see Screenshot 2024-07-08 094812.png).

I noticed that the formula in the tutorial for the Invoke bound button might need to be updated. With the following expression it's working as expected:

With( { TotalDebtRatio: ((RecordsGallery1.Selected.'Housing Debt' + RecordsGallery1.Selected.'Other Debt') / RecordsGallery1.Selected.'Annual Income') * 100, HousingDebtRatio: (RecordsGallery1.Selected.'Other Debt' / RecordsGallery1.Selected.'Annual Income') * 100 }, Notify( "Total debt ratio: " & Text( TotalDebtRatio, "###.00%" ) ) )
